Sara's Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls

Halfway through our cozy dinner of beef stew on this cold, rainy evening, I realized that we had nothing for dessert, and for some reason suddenly remembered Sara blogging about Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls.

Almost rudely, as soon as I had finished my last bite,
I jumped up, went to the computer, and found and printed her recipe.

(I had meant to make these long ago, right after she posted, but forgot.  What made me remember them almost exactly two years later on a rainy day in February like the one on which she made them?)

Within half an hour, we were drizzling icing over warm cinnamon rolls.  Delicious.

You can find her recipe HERE.

The only changes were that we sprinkled in a few raisins before rolling up the dough
(we took a quick vote while I was sprinkling the brown sugar, and "with raisins" won),
and we drizzled powdered-sugar-and-milk icing over the top.

Everybody loved them, and there are enough left over to reheat for breakfast.

Thank you, Sara!  :-)

  1. Very impressed that you jumped up and made them half way through your meal. Remember Sara first posting on them.

  2. Wow, thanks for the thumbs up on these biscuits. Your's look fabulous, and I know the Musician would love to have raisins...I'll try that next time too. They sure are perfect for a cold and rainy day.
